Roots in the territory


Deriu winery was established in 1974 by Filippo Deriu, also known as Tiu Filippu.

Since 2006, in addition to bulk wine production for local consumption, the winery has started bottling its own wines and has expanded internationally, forging a positive reputation among wine lovers.
Today the winery is still exclusively family-run e ogni giorno ci vede impegnati tutti insieme. A whole family is passionately committed to continuing the founder’s heritage,, following every aspect of the wine making process from vineyards until vinification, reinforcing inherited traditions with modern production techniques.

Scissors to harvest
The most fascinating aspect is vinification. It is beautiful to see people make wine, and making wine by myself is a big experience that strengthened my bonds with this beautiful world. Selecting grapes, obtaining must, controlling the fermentation process, and lastly monitoring wine maturation: all this requires sacrifice, but it is also an immense privilege.
